Commencement of Work – Upon written or verbal request, (studio creative brief), work will be scheduled to meet client timeframe and project scope. If an estimate is requested then CAN Design will endeavour to have an emailed cost back to client within 48 hours. Once a costing is agreed, then the client must provide written approval of our provided quotation in an email or letter before any work is commenced and scheduled. Client to identify and highlight and aspects which may be urgent or required by a specific date.
 
Payment for Projects – No up-front payment is required on any project. Once a project is completed, an invoice will be emailed to the client accounts department or client contact, and is required to be paid in full within the 30 day trading terms.
 
Design & Production Fees – It is agreed that the fee for services shall be the cost estimated on this quotation, unless work undertaken exceeds work/description outlined. If work exceeds the items specified in the original quotation the client agrees to pay appropriate fees for the excess/additional works undertaken. CAN Design reserves the right to change quoted prices should conditions or design specifications vary from that stated in the quotation documentation.
 
© Copyright – It is agreed that the client will have the exclusive right to retain and reproduce any artwork, manuals, information, material, reports and other output which is produced from the work undertaken, once invoice has been paid in full. This granting of copyright does not extend to the use of design proposals submitted but not approved by the client for the work outlined in the supplied estimate.
Intellectual Property (IP) – CAN Design is happy to pass over all IP rights to the client upon full payment of invoice for final approved artwork created. Any development, explorative and/or pitch creative undertaken but not used as final approved material remains the IP ownership of CAN Design.
Third Party Imagery & Supplied Content – All third-party stock imagery or illustrations will be purchased on clients behalf in accordance to photo library contract requirements. Any costs incurred will be quoted to clients prior to use. Can Design is also happy to use existing creative, imagery and copy provided directly by clients. Any reference content (imagery, visual or written), is assumed to be owned by client already and seen as provided useable content (no copyright infringement). Any legal implications on ownership and use from provided content will be at the risk of clients direct.
 
Confidentiality – It is agreed that employees of CAN Design shall not at any time either during the project or thereafter, except in the course of their duties, divulge any of the confidential affairs of the client or any of its clients or associated companies to anyone whatsoever without the previous contest in writing of the client. We recognise that anything the client shares with us is regarded as confidential, whether it is business or personal information. We undertake not to, at any time, either directly or indirectly use or disclose any information the client shares with us in meetings, via email or on telephone conversations.
